The crisis crew, with the participation of Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini and Minister of Interior Denisa Saková, today, in connection with the COVID-19 infection, has taken several steps. There was a ban on visiting patients in all Slovak hospitals, social services homes, orphanages and prisons. He also took the decision to cancel flights and from Italy at all Slovak international airports from the nearest days. At the same time, the Prime Minister recommended that people consider visiting sports and cultural events with more people. Any foreign journeys should also be considered, not only to countries where the disease has already occurred. "We are not going to take emergency measures yet, it is important and we call on citizens to monitor their health closely, to limit participation in places where people are more concentrated," stressed Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini. The Conference of bishops of Slovakia is recommended to consider limiting the services in which more people participate. The Ministry of Education will issue a ban on excursions and tours of pupils abroad. Prime Minister Pellegrini appealed again to people not to go to doctors if this is not necessary. In particular, electronic prescription should be used. Slovakia has not yet approached the quarantine of all people who have arrived from Italy. An information campaign at selected border crossing points is being reintroduced today. In Slovakia, we recorded the first confirmed case of COVID-19. The disease was confirmed by a 52-year-old man from the Bratislava region. It is hospitalized at Clinic of Infectology and Geographical Medicine University Hospital Bratislava in an isolated room. The patient has an easier course of the disease and does not experience serious medical complications. His wife and son, who had taken samples to confirm the presence of the disease, were also taken to the hospital. His son returned from Venice a few days ago, but there were no symptoms. There are now 339 negative samples tested.
