The July meeting of the Categorisation Committee for Medicinal Products extended the indications for two medicinal products. Patients will thus be reimbursed by the insurance company for a number of diseases, as has been the case so far.The extension of the indication in practice means that although medicines have been categorised so far, they will also be covered by further diagnoses under the new decision. Since 1.10. 2024, the medicine has thus been prescribed for Opdivo (medicine contains the active substance nivolumab) extends the indication to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma. It is in the form of an infusion concentrate. Medicinal product Jakavi (containing the active substance ruxolitinib) the indication polycythaemia vera has also been approved.
