In Slovakia, from today, people receive the first EU digital COVID cards. Today, the National Health Information Centre has started processing 3.2 million vaccination records, over 200,000 CVID-19 and nearly 50,000 PCR tests.
The EU Digital COVID Card has been in the first application since today. It is gradually available to the policyholders of the General Health Insurance Agency thanks to the application of the insurance company from today. Other insurers will also have this possibility through their application in the coming days. In this way, I would like to thank health insurance companies for their constructive approach and cooperation,stated Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský.
Around 800 thousand people who have received a temporary certificate will be automatically sent by email today and tomorrow from NCZI an EU digital COVID card in pdf format. People who have applied for a temporary certificate in recent weeks have no obligation to issue an EU digital COVID card.
All others will be able to request via the form on the website www.korona.gov.sk on a single EU Digital COVID card from Monday.
