Vaccination shall start in the week from 22 September 2025. Candidates who are currently registered at the National Health Information Centre will be allocated deadlines according to the available capacities. Vaccination will be carried out in 16 hospitals and health facilities throughout Slovakia.

The new version of Comirnate against COVID-19, adapted to the most widely used variant of virus (LP.8.1), was approved for use in the European Union. The European experts recommended that the vaccine against COVID-19 be adjusted for 2025/2026 season to target the new LP.8.1 variant. Such an adjustment is expected to help maintain good disease protection. This Decision is based on available scientific evidence on viral spread and immune response.
