The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic points out that the European Commission regulation on the issue of EU digital CVID cards expires on 30.6.2023. After this date the Slovak Republic will issue a national certificate in two languages (Slovak and English), which can be used for traveling purposes. We recommend that people who are about to travel to countries that require confirmation to download the original EU document during June.
By 30 June 2023, the European Commission's regulation on the issue of EU digital COVID cards will end. Before the end of June, the document can be generated, saved and used when travelling abroad if necessary. From July onwards, the National Health Information Centre will be able to apply electronically for a document at national level. The health department will inform about the detailed procedure in the coming days through a press release, on its website or social networks.
Most countries do not currently require proof of vaccination upon entry into their territory, nor testing for COVID-19. For more information on the conditions of entry to individual countries, please refer to the Foreign Affairs Department website: https://www.mzv.sk/states/caid-19-measures-in-the-world. We recommend studying the conditions of entry of individual countries before travelling abroad. We also recommend that citizens of the Slovak Republic review the rules of travel with the transport company (air, rail, road carrier) and inform about the documents required for transport.
