These are facilities where testing is carried out by trained personnel such as MOM and where the test person receives the relevant evidence of the outcome. Risk groups include, for example, patients over 60 years of age, patients with chronic cardiovascular disease in the heart failure stage, diabetes with advanced chronic complications, neurological diseases, chronic lung disease or arterial hypertension. Medicines may be indicated by a general physician, even a specialist doctor.
In addition to antivirals for treatment also suitable at home, Veclura containing the active substance remdezivir is also available in hospital facilities. It is administered by intravenous infusion to adult patients at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease.
The Ministry of Health recalls that despite the availability of effective antivirals and the overall improvement of the epidemic situation, the best way to prevent COVID-19 disease is vaccination. Experts recommend the use of a respirator at mass events and places with a large concentration of people, even beyond the existing and binding measures. The importance of compliance with basic hygiene measures remains more on the website of the Slovak Public Health Office: https://www.uvzr.sk/.

Methodological guidance with indicative restrictions on the administration of the above-mentioned medicinal products is published on the website of MZ SR (https://www.health.gov.sk/?coid-19-metholice- guidelines).
