During the last day of last year, 2660 people were added with a positive PCR test, most of them were in Trnava region, on the contrary, at least in Košice.
A positive antigen test had 400 people on New Year's Eve.
In hospitals, the number of patients with COVID-19 decreased by 23 people. Currently, 2313 people are hospitalized. There are 454 patients for ICU and OAIM. Support for artificial lung ventilation is needed by 223 people. Almost 84 percent of those hospitalised are not vaccinated or have only one dose of vaccine.
There were 30 deaths due to COVID-19.
During New Year's Eve, 20 337 people received a third dose of vaccine, 6994 were vaccinated with the second dose of vaccine, and 1842 received the first dose of vaccine.
