During September and October 2024, the Ministry of Health expects the intake of an adapted variant of COVID-19 vaccines per strain JN. 1 for adult and paediatric age groups.

The Ministry of Health is progressing and finalising all appropriate steps to expand the available vaccination network within the territory of the Slovak Republic.

The vaccination network will be extended and provided in hospitals within the Slovak Republic.

We'll report on the dates of the vaccination.

The list of hospitals will be reviewed on an ongoing basis depending on the interest in vaccination.

It is recalled that vaccination is the most effective tool against COVID-19 disease and is provided free of charge by the State to all candidates. COvid-19 can still cause long-lasting health effects. The best way to prevent this risk is through vaccination. The state has provided free vaccination for all citizens in Slovakia - it is only the responsibility of every citizen to protect their own health.
