Minister for Health Marek Krajčí signed the public promise of reallocating funds allocated by the President of the Slovak Government Igor Matovič to health care professionals in the first line of the fight against the Pandemic COVID-19. The health care providers under the Ministry of Health's responsibility have today received funding to pay the compensation and will be paid in the next payday.
With public commitment, the Minister of Health is also committed to rewarding other healthcare professionals who worked in the front line or red zone of hospitals from 1 April to 31 July 2020 and provided healthcare to patients with COVID-19. Thus, the Ministry of Health will allocate funds to rewards to healthcare professionals who work with healthcare providers who are not members of its subordinate organisations. I care that all the medical professionals who worked in the front line during the first wave of pandemics should be evaluated, deserve it, stated Minister for Health Marek Krajčí.
The aim is a transparent, efficient and incentive way of rewarding individual groups of workers. We are making a public promise to redistribute more than EUR 24 million among designated healthcare providers for healthcare workers who have worked in the front line or red zone at critical times with healthcare providers or would work in the front line or red zone at critical times if they had not completed quarantine incapacity in relation to the acute respiratory syndrome caused by the new coronavirus, and Marek Krajčí said.
The remuneration of the group of healthcare providers and health professionals concerned, who belong to the front line and fulfil the conditions for the award of remuneration, shall be set in accordance with the principle of merit, motivation and voluntaryity. The form in the Health Indicator Information System (ISZI) will be completed by their employer for healthcare professionals. ISZI operates The National Health Information Centre and through it collects data from designated healthcare providers in order to determine the number of hours worked by designated first-line healthcare professionals and/or red-zone healthcare professionals and the number of hours worked by designated health professionals in the first-line and/or red-field if they do not undergo quarantine incapacity, in order to determine the level of remuneration per hour of work in the first-line and/or red-zone. The deadline for registering for the remuneration scheme is from Monday 2 November from 8:00 a.m. to Wednesday 11 November 2020 until 08:00 a.m. After the deadline for registration will no longer be possible to sign up to the system of remuneration and the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic is not linked to healthcare providers who will not do so until then.
Healthcare providers on the Health Ministry website will find the necessary information: www.health.gov.skin part REMUNERATIONHEALTHCARE IN THE FIRST LINE and, from 2 November 2020, the opening of the remuneration system also in the Health Indicator Information System (ISZI) of the National Health Information Centre.
