Vaccination is one of the most effective tools to combat pandemics. The Ministry of Health therefore opens the next phase of the vaccination strategy. Candidates for vaccination against Covid-19 disease who are older than 50 years can from today log in via the registration form on the site www.korona.gov.sk. At the same time, the administration of each type of vaccine is adjusted according to the age of the candidate. Astra vaccine Zeneca will be designed for people from 50 to 60 years of age and vaccines from Pfizer/Biontech and Modern for older than 60 years.To date, 622.685 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of coronavirus vaccine. Of these, 255,857 people have already received a second dose. The Ministry of Health is taking measures to build collective immunity as soon as possible. Therefore, it was decided today to open a further phase of vaccination for all candidates older than 50 years.From tomorrow, from 50 to 60 years of age, astraZeneca will be vaccinated.The administration of vaccines for each age group is also adjusted with the opening of the next phase of the vaccination strategy. From Monday, the vaccines from Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna will be for interested parties over 60 years of age.In the waiting room, applicants in the waiting room, who have not yet been given the vaccination deadline and are over 60 years old, will be automatically transferred to the vacancies in the vaccination centres where the substances are administered from Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna. The change in vaccination centres will be for the vast majority of candidates in the same city as those who entered the original registration. In isolated cases, people may be offered a place in a neighboring city. For example, candidates who have referred to Nové Mesto nad Váhom as a vaccination site at registration may therefore be invited to be vaccinated in Trenčín. If the preferred places want to be customized by the candidates themselves, they can do so by changing their registration to korona.gov.sk.Some of those interested in vaccination may be invited on Monday. From tomorrow morning, invitations will be sent to interested parties for free dates from Tuesday. Any candidate who does not meet the date or place of vaccination assigned may modify his reservation at any time. They will be able to change the selected vaccination centres in the same way.
