In the homes of social services today began flat testing of clients and employees of these facilities. Ministers of Health and Labour and Social Affairs Marek Krajčí and Milan Krajniak informed about this after today's meeting with President Zuzana Čaputová.

The President stressed the importance of paying particular attention to the quality of services provided in social services facilities. Ministers informed the Head of State how social service facilities are supplied with protective devices, how testing in facilities progressed and also addressed the issue of staff shortages.

The Minister of Health Marek Krajčí informed that it will first be tested in these facilities by rapid tests, first tested by staff of the facility, then by clients. "If the test is positive, so not only the client himself, but all over the home will be tested by standard PCR tests to see if the infection is present," Krajčí added. Clients will be tested in welfare homes. "We are the first country in the world to launch such a project, together with Northern Ireland," stressed the Minister.

Minister of Social Affairs Milan Krajniak stated that the testing starts in the first phase in Bratislava and Martin. It will gradually start all over Slovakia, it will be about 80,000 people. In addition, it informed that the State's material reserves should provide the equipment with sufficient protective equipment.
