The Deputy Prime Minister, in charge of the Health Department, Eduard Heger and the Council of Experts, called on people to follow all the established rules during the coming Easter. They recommend that people limit meetings, do not travel outside their district, during their stay in nature they did not create large groups, wear respirators in the interiors and use drapes in the exteriors, only individually.
Minister Heger stressed that this Easter would be even different. –It is important that we do this if we want to keep the downward trend so that we do not succumb to the temptation to travel. Easter customs please put off next year, underlined the Minister. Experts recommend that people put away the gallows and the casts this year and participate only virtually in religious services. They also recommend that people consider visiting grandparents even if they have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 disease. "It is important that we resist Easter and do not succumb to the temptation to visit and spend time with people who are not from our home," said Minister Heger. As part of the fight against a pandemic, he says we have a big fight on Easter. "The way we handle Easter will depend on what it will have summer," he remarked. We can only beat the pandemic if we get together, declared by the Minister.
Set anti-epidemic measures should not be tightened during Easter in Slovakia. The measures and decrees are set up sufficiently and it is very important that people respect them. Ján Mikas stressed the main hygiene officer, according to which the epidemiological situation in Slovakia is slightly improving and it is important that this improving trend is maintained. "The big night is always broken in such situations. It will depend very much on the public's compliance with the measures," completed.
If the public will follow current measures, it is a 90 percent success, stressed expert in tropical medicine and infectology Vladimir Krčmery. In particular, mass travel in Slovakia should be avoided during holidays.
The recommendations of the Council of Experts will be dealt with next week by the Pandemic Commission of the Slovak Government.
