The Pandemic Commission of the Slovak Government will meet at the Ministry of Health on Friday 24 July. The most important point is the negotiation and approval of the Pandemic Plan of the Slovak Republic. The aim of the pandemic plan is to ensure Slovakia's preparedness for the pandemic of acute respiratory diseases, to eliminate the health and economic burden on the population, to establish the tasks of the government, self-government and professional bodies that manage, ensure and carry out activities in connection with ensuring the protection of public health. Once the pandemic plan has been approved, the procedures for the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic will be coordinated by it. The Slovak Health is prepared for the possible second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, taking into account the pandemic plan. Hospitals currently operate in a standard mode, patients receive healthcare without restrictions. People with or suspected of COVID-19 are hospitalized in infectious departments. In the event of an increase in the number of acute patients, medical facilities are ready to immediately allocate necessary beds.Pandemic COVID-19 is in phase 0 based on the current epidemiological situation in Slovakia. The epidemiological situation is monitored daily by regional public health authorities. The severity assessment has several factors. For example, the number of outbreaks, the increase in the number of hospitalised patients, the percentage rate of hospitalization from all cases, the rate of hospitalization of serious conditions as well as the rate of hospitalisation of serious conditions from hospitalised patients, complications of diseases or an increase in the number of deaths are analysed. If the epidemiological situation demands this, we will move to phase 1. In fifteen hospitals in the various regions of Slovakia (University Hospital Bratislava, National Institute of Children's Diseases Bratislava, Children's Faculty Hospital Banská Bystrica, Faculty Hospital Košice, University Hospital L. Pasteur Košice, Faculty Hospital Trnava, Faculty Hospital Trenčín, Faculty Hospital Nitra, Faculty Hospital with Polyclinic F. D. Roosevelt Banská Bystrica, Faculty Hospital Nové Zámky, Hospital Poprad, a. s., Hospital with Polyclinic Lučenec, Faculty Hospital with Policlinic J. A. Reimana Prešov, University Hospital Martin, Hospital with Polyclinic Michalovce) we will allocate space for so-called rate-of-of-of-of-the-a-patients. There will be 3,385 beds and 118 pediatric beds, which is on average 233 beds per hospital and according to the regional distribution of almost 500 beds per respective region. These will be in 1.
COVID-19 Other hospitals will operate in standard mode. The reprofilation of beds for infected people with coronavirus will increase as necessary depending on the current epidemiological situation. Three phases are ready. In the spring months we practically tried the first phase of reprofilation, running the second and third we tested, so the individual stages of reprofiling should be properly set. The individual stages can be activated quickly by hospitals, if necessary, and said Minister of Health Marek Krajčí.Based on a pandemic plan, the second phase of reprofiling beds will be implemented in the 3rd phase of the pandemic. There will be an additional 5 687 beds in twenty-two hospitals. Slovakia is also prepared for the enormous increase of infected. In the event of such a situation, there would be a third phase of reprofiling hospital beds in another twenty-five hospitals throughout Slovakia. There will be 5 951 additional beds available for patients with COVID. Slovak healthcare is also equipped with instruments. We have enough lung ventilation for patients with COVID-19 due to the available human resources of our constitutional health institutions. We acted immediately, taking into account the fact that sick patients on COVID-19 can be ventilated if necessary by the most sophisticated ventilation regimens suitable for bridging severe viral pneumonia. Hospitals also equipped themselves with other necessary equipment. Device is important for providing adequate and quality healthcare to people not only during the Coronavirus pandemic, but our hospitals will also be able to use it to improve healthcare for other diseases. Our aim is to increase operational activity and reduce waiting times after the pandemic. explained Minister for Health Marek Krajčí. Based on the experience from the surrounding countries, at the beginning of the pandemic, we defined the types of devices suitable for ventilation patients with advanced COVID-19 stage. At the time, there were 450 such devices in hospitals, and by buying them, we increased this condition so that we could have 1,000 such fans. Of these, 350 are already in hospitals. Others will be distributed on the basis of defined hospital requirements and real need based on the current epidemiological situation. Together with other lower typesfans and support oxygenation devices so the Slovak Republic will have almost 2 000 beds equipped with breathing support devices in bed facilities. ÞVentilators are distributed to state hospitals, taking into account the availability of oxygen and air distribution, the possibility of increasing the number of beds of anesthesiology and intensive medicine, current equipment and personnel, explained Minister of Health Marek Krajčí. Gradually, taking into account the administration process with state property, i.e. by signing contracts between hospitals and the Ministry of Health published in the Central Register of Contracts, they are distributed to individual hospitals. List sampling points is published on the website korona.gov.sk, where candidates for testing will find all necessary information: https://korona.gov.sk/poziadat-o-sun-na-civid-19/.Healthcare professionals have both current and sufficient consumables for laboratory diagnosis of COVID-19. Sufficient protective equipment is also up-to-date and stocks are also on-going. The Ministry of Health continuously summarises personal protective equipment, in particular the requirements of individual hospitals. Procurement provides Administration of the State's material reserves, which procures and distributes this material according to the health sector's schedule to individual hospitals. I believe health is ready for a second wave of pandemic. I have to say, the first one was successfully handled. I would like to thank all those people who have followed the recommended measures as a model, thanks to which Slovakia has become one of the most successful countries in the fight against the coronavirus. Many thanks also go to brave doctors, nurses, and other health workers for their immense commitment and setting up their work for the benefit of the patient. Together at this moment we are set up and ready to stand in the front row again if necessary and to protect the lives and health of the inhabitants of Slovakia,– closed Minister of Health Marek Krajčí.Health resort is ready for a possible second wave of COVID-19 pandemic
