In Slovakia, pathologists confirmed another death on the lung form of COVID-19. A 69-year-old patient was hospitalized at the Faculty Hospital in Prešov. He died on September 8th today based on the results of the autopsy and laboratory analysis experts absolutely evaluated the reason - lung form COVID-19. Officially, 40 deaths from this disease have been confirmed in Slovakia.
Conversely, as the primary cause of death, COVID-19 was not confirmed in the following mediaally known cases: death of an 80-year-old patient in ÚNV Ružomberok, +1.9.020, death of a 15-year-old patient in FNsP Nitra, +7.9.020, death of a 78-year-old patient in NSP Prešov, +13.9.020.
There are still at least 11 cases in the investigation since the beginning of September. Specialists evaluate whether COVID-19 was the primary cause of death. These are cases where patients from hospitals throughout Slovakia were tested positive for a new coronavirus before dying.
121 patients are hospitalized. Of these, 92 have confirmed COVID-19 disease. There are 9 people on the ICU, support for artificial lung ventilation needs nine patients. The total number of positive people tested in our country is 6756, and since the onset of the disease we have had 414,200 laboratory tests. During this period, the Ministry of Health stresses the particular importance of prevention as well as personal responsibility. Compliance with the rules is crucial if we are to successfully manage the second wave of pandemic. We believe that we can be disciplined at least in primary compliance with the ROR rules: wearing Rush, sufficient Distance and disinfection of the Rúk.
