As he added, the current situation in hospitals is slightly improving. –We are trying to design solutions and approach tasks in order to manage the current situation as best as possible together. An important help is the crisis team for institutional health care, picked up Minister Krajčí.

The doctors, nurses and other health professionals have a continuous role to play in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and I understand that many are on the verge of strength at certain moments, so I want to assure you that I am behind you and I value your work immensely. said Head of Health Department M. Operational Centre of Health Service in cooperation with Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic established Patient Transport Support Centre. The main objective is to coordinate and logistically ensure the transfer of critical patients with COVID-19 disease in case of the hospital bed fund being filled. As he added, most patients were transferred from the districts of Tvrdošín, Čadca and Liptovský Mikuláš to hospitals in Ružomberok and Martin. New information portal www.covicv hospital.skis intended mainly for hospitals, healthcare professionals and students of health schools. Information on the current occupancy of beds is available on the portal, and hospitals also have the possibility to ask for material and technical security to be completed or to publish acute personnel requirements. The new project of the Ministry of Health in the reserve also responds to the serious problem of lack of qualified staff. The project is based on mutual assistance between hospitals providing data to the newly created health workers database, explained Minister for Health. As he added, they will create so-called backup teams and be available to the medical facility to bridge the short-term critical situation due to a lack of staff. Participation in the project is purely voluntary and hospitals can complement the database on an ongoing basis.

Currently we have almost two dozen constitutional health institutions and more than 50 health professionals who are willing to help. We continuously complete the database and it is open to all new applicants from institutional healthcare providers.
