The resort has carried out a technical analysis, which concludes that vaccination with two different doses will only be available under precise rules.
A second dose of another vaccine may be given if:
- occurred. Serious secondary event after the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine with a contraindication to a second dose,
or
- is registered unavailability the same vaccine dose,
or
- a person has been vaccinated with the first dose of vaccine Abroad which is not registered or available in Slovakia.
Vaccines can be combined as follows:
- the first dose of vector vaccine and the second dose of mRNA vaccine (time interval of at least 28 days, may be up to 12 weeks but with the aspect of achieving full protection later),
or
- the first dose of mRNA vaccine and the second dose of vector vaccine (the interval of at least 28 days, may be up to 12 weeks but with the aspect of achieving full protection later).
The experts' conclusion is that the combination of vaccines should currently be implemented in our circumstances solely because of the medical contraindications for the second dose of the same vaccine. In other words The second dose of a different vaccine can only be given for health reasons or in case the vaccine is unavailable on the market or if the first dose has been vaccinated abroad and the vaccine is not available in Slovakia.
In case the vaccination centre vaccinates outside the set rules, the action is fully under the responsibility of the vaccination centre (the contraindications can also be assessed directly by the doctor in the vaccination centre).
Experts recommended vaccination with two different doses of vaccines only in specified cases
