The smart home smart quarantine for people returning from abroad should be launched from Friday 22 May 2020, everything depends on how the test phase ends. Slovakia will thus, according to Prime Minister Igor Matovič, be the third country in Europe to introduce such a system. Slovakia is the most successful country in Europe in the fight against the coronavirus. The Minister pointed out that this was not a question of tracking people, but that through the application regional hygiene would be informed that the quarantine site had not been respected. I believe that this innovative solution will significantly help us to continue to be the most successful country in the fight against coronavirus, underlined the Minister. The state quarantine is not disrupted by the introduction of a voluntary smart quarantine, it is only an alternative for those citizens who qualify, specified Ján Bučkuliak from the permanent crisis staff. All necessary information on the application will be available on the website www.korona.gov.skwhere applicants complete the form and download the application. The candidate will have to meet the specified conditions under which home quarantine can be completed. Together with such a person, members of the household in which such person spends it shall remain in the home quarantine. The application will invite the user to take a photo at irregular intervals. The number of calls for identification will not be known, they will appear irregularly and randomly. If he violates home quarantine, he can be checked by a regional health officer or police. There is a penalty of up to EUR 1650 for violation of quarantine. On the third day of quarantine, the user should be ordered through a covid passport for examination. If it is positive, the examination will be repeated after 14 days and, in case of positiveness, the regional health care professional will decide on the next procedure. The 14-day quarantine remains even if the test is negative.
