The Ministry of Health continuously updates the list, comprehensive and up-to-date information available on the website of the Ministry of Health.
Practical information:
What is the basic step?
If I suspect I have COVID-19 disease, or have been in close contact with a positive person for this disease, I must be responsible, stay in home isolation and monitor my health. I should contact my general doctor by phone, mail or text message.
This will help the healthcare provider to take action to prevent the spread of infection or exposure to the risk of infecting other people. The doctor reports the presence of the disease by telephone to the regional health care professional of the Regional Public Health Office (DMO). Persons who are actively monitored or monitored individually should follow the instructions provided by local health establishments or healthcare professionals.
Which test to choose:
- an antigen test is recommended when symptoms of the disease appear / in case of close contact with a positive person, at least 2 days after this meeting,
- RT PCR testing is recommended when the symptoms of the disease appear / return from the risk country / in case of close contact with a positive person after at least 5 days of this meeting.
What to do next:
- use free antigen testing in your area (list of antigen testing sites on the site https://www.health.gov.sk/?ag-mom
- use RT PCR testing - log in for testing using an electronic form at www.korona.gov.sk: https://www.old.korona.gov.sk/coid-19-patent-form.php
- after registration wait for the text message with COVID PASS - instructions where and when to report for testing (first 5th day after contact with positive),
- individual transport must be provided for the sampling point, protective drapes used at all times, both the driver and the test person,
- each tested receives a text message within 96 hours of the test result,
- tell your doctor about the outcome of the test.
If the result of the antigen test is negative:
- should continue to behave with caution and follow ROR and other rules (Antigenic tests are useful because they help us capture large numbers of people with the virus. But they are less accurate, and so many people will not get caught - if we count on it and behave responsibly even if you have a negative test result, we can significantly slow down the spread of the virus.)
If PCR test result is negative:
- the home quarantine continues for a minimum period of 10 days, the completion of which shall be decided by the competent Regional Public Health Office (RPP),
- quarantine is deducted from the last close contact with the positive person,
- the duration of quarantine may still influence positive results in this period of test persons living with a person in a common household. The quarantine is extended depending on the date of the positive results of these persons.
If COVID-19 disease has been confirmed:
- domestic isolation continues - it lasts at least 10 days after the positive test result, domestic isolation continues - it lasts at least 10 days after the positive test result,
- the positive test person informs everyone with whom he has been in close contact,
- the following persons should be asked to apply for testing,
- it is recommended to draw up a list of these persons also with contacts and wait until a positive test person contacts the respective DPA.
DOMESTIC ISOLATION:
Regional Public Health Office designated and recommended:
- if the person has confirmed COVID-19 disease (antigen or PCR test),
- has been tested for COVID-19 and awaits the result,
- has mild symptoms (cough, fever, sore throat, loss of smell, taste),
- in the case of a disease where it is not known with certainty whether it is COVID-19,
- have been in close contact with a positive test person,
- arrived from a risky country.
During isolation it is necessary to monitor your state of health in case of mild symptoms contact the treating physician, in case of serious problems call emergency medical services and notify her that she is a person in quarantine or a person positive for COvid-19.
TERMINATION OF ISOLATION:
- the completion of the established isolation is decided by the competent regional public health authority,
- in case of severe disease progression, isolation may be prolonged,
- in a patient with mild isolation, ends at least ten days after the first symptoms, at least three days after the symptoms have resolved,
- a patient who has a severe course of at least 20 days from the first signs, at least three days after resolution of symptoms,
- no negative RT PCR test is required to end isolation. (For many people, the positiveness of the test persists, but the virus itself is no longer able to transmit from human to human after that time limit, i.e. the person is not considered infectious.) However, everything is decided by the treating doctor or the regional health care professional.
- if a person in contact with a positive person has been isolated and has not taken the test, he may stop it at least after 10 days if he/she does not have clinical signs,
- if quarantine is no longer required, the doctor will issue a certificate of termination of PN (also possible by e-mail or SMS),
- for premature abandonment of quarantine there is a threat of a sanction. The police control the observance of quarantine and may fine up to EUR 1659).
Home insulation conditions:

You can also order the purchase by phone or e-mail. The delivery instructions must indicate that the purchase should be delivered before the front door.
Where a person in quarantine lives in a common household with other persons:
