In Slovakia there were 1054 people with COVID-19, 8959 tests were carried out. 531 women and 523 men aged from several months to 87 years had positive tests.
Positive tests were in Prešov region (248), Žilina region (213), Trenčín region (180), Trnavský (128), Nitra (107), Košice (70), Bratislava (55) and Banskobystrický (53).
In hospitals, 388 people with a new or suspected coronavirus are currently hospitalized, 344 patients have confirmed disease. There's 12 people on the ICU, 36 patients need artificial lung ventilation support.
The good news in the statistics is that they added cures, compared to the previous day it is 78 people, together with the disease COVID-19 overcame 5631 people.
The total number of positive tests in our country has so far been 19 851, since the onset of the disease, 548 449 laboratory tests have been performed. The number of confirmed deaths is unchanged - 61, active cases of disease are currently 14 159 in Slovakia.
