From Monday 16.8.2021, nine districts will be in the orange stage according to the new Covid Automat, which 10.8.2021 approved by the government. In the orange phase, from Monday the districts of Košice I, IV, Košice surroundings, Gelnica, Spišská Nová Ves, Poprad and Stará Ľubovňa.
The new Covid Automat introduces five colours of district riskyness - from green (monitoring), orange (intensity), red (1st level of threat), plum (2nd level of threat) to black (3rd level of threat). The colour change should take into account, in addition to the number of positive cases, for example, the vaccination rate of the district in the population over 50 years of age. The more people vaccinated in this group will be given the district, the more likely it will be to move to a better color and, despite the number of people infected in it, to apply milder measures.
According to Vladimír Lengvarsky, the new Covid Automat is trying to create a regime so that vaccinated persons are as limited as possible and have as many benefits as possible.
The establishments will be given the opportunity to decide whether they will only release vaccinated or negative tested and people who have experienced COVID-19 disease, or all of them, including unvaccinated and untested. Further measures will be taken accordingly.
