Representatives of health, foreign affairs, interior and transport departments discussed again with other representatives of the Visegrad Four. At the end of November they met at the regular video conference COVID-19 information V4 center. In the first part, the countries presented the measures currently in force. The Slovak delegation presented the results of the next round of field testing. They referred to the ongoing establishment of mobile sampling points where testing using antigen tests is provided to citizens free of charge. The Slovak side also presented the current conditions applicable at the border. The Hungarian party talked about launching voluntary mass testing of employees of public educational institutions. The Czech delegation presented a new anti-epidemic system based on an index of 0 to 100 points. The Poles presented the stages of future measures to be implemented on the basis of the epidemiological situation.
In the second part of the meeting, delegations addressed the issue of vaccines against COVID-19. Countries have informed each other of the planned procedures and stages of preparation. The Hungarian delegation was interested in logistics. The Polish side proposes to share information on the country's vaccination strategy as soon as it becomes available. In the final section, the V4 states addressed the issue of certification of medical equipment. The topic was proposed by the Polish party, which stated that the question of the use of uncertified equipment was open to them. However, their use is not the norm. Slovakia uses equipment and devices that comply with EU certification. As for lung ventilation, these are mostly purchased from the Slovak manufacturer. The Czech delegation has drawn attention to the fact that they have a legislative procedure that allows the approval of products which are not certified by the EU. This procedure is used only exceptionally and has only been used once so far. The next meeting is scheduled for 8.12.2020.
