On Thursday, a millionth vaccine against COVID-19 disease was administered in Slovakia. Between 26 December 2020 and 1 April 2021, exactly 1 000 911 vaccines were used.

For the Ministry of Health, vaccination against COVID-19 disease is one of the priorities and daily resort experts place emphasis on speeding up vaccination in Slovakia.
By Thursday, 1 April, 1,000 911 vaccines were administered. 737 496 people received the first dose, of which 263 415 had already received the second dose.
Vaccination should be speeded up in the near future and vaccines should get even closer to people. In the 2nd quarter a new single-dose vaccine from Johnson & Johnson will come to Slovakia. At the same time, EU countries yesterday approved additional doses of the vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech. In the next 3 months, 1.63 million doses of this vaccine will come to our country.
