The government of the Slovak Republic approved today the mitigation of measures based on COvid AUTOMAT. As of Monday 19 April 2021, the curfew will not be applied, for example, to visits to retail outlets and establishments that will be opened pursuant to the Decree of the Public Health Office (ECO).
–I am very pleased that, thanks to the joint efforts of the citizens, we have taken another step towards life without restrictions. Thank you for obeying the rules, and please let us hold on to this and remain responsible, said Prime Minister Eduard Heger.
Another good news for citizens is that in nature and for individual recreation it will be possible to travel even between districts on the condition that a negative test will be required to the district in the IVth level of COVID AUTOMAT, not more than 7 days old. Museums, galleries, libraries, zoological, botanical gardens are opened under the conditions laid down by the ÚVZ Decree.
Another important change compared to the present is the opening of courses of driving school, the possibility of visiting services, swimming pools and sports grounds.
The mandatory home office is also canceled. This form of work will only continue to be carried out by employees according to their employer's guidelines.
However, we still have no victory over the pandemic, and we need to be cautious. Only strict compliance with the rules and, in parallel, massive vaccination is the way to freedom. Today we have taken another step towards it, closed the chief of the government cabinet Eduard Heger.
Detailed rules for the opening of establishments or the implementation of mass events, including sport, will be laid down in the ÚVZ Decree. The government of the Slovak Republic ordered the chief sanitary officer John Mikas to issue this decree without delay.
