After several weeks of discussions with representatives of the outpatient sector, health insurance companies, Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and the Government Office of the Slovak Republic, Prime Minister Eduard Heger, together with Minister of Health Vladimir Lengvarsky, announced today the amount of the amount they will receive to cover the increased energy prices, but also other eligible costs. This will be a total of EUR 283 million in addition to the amount distributed by the outpatient sector last year.
This amount included, in addition to the increased costs related to the energy crisis, other indicators such as inflation, wage valorisation or planned changes in the network of general and specialised offices.
Ambulances of general doctors will receive more than €73 million last year and specialised offices will have €210 million more, so the difference in both cases is 20% compared to 2022.
Health insurance companies will receive the minimum expenses they have to spend in the sector. Finance to cover the increased costs of energy will receive ambulances in contracts with insurance companies as a separate item, Vladimír Lengvarský explained the very process of payment.
Prime Minister Eduard Heger met with the Minister on Wednesday at the Government Office with representatives of the outpatient sector as well as other relevant partners. Health is a priority of our government. This is evidenced by today's discussion, which we managed to agree on a solution for the outpatient sector. In recent months, we have taken a number of measures to help the entire Slovak health sector. We have increased wages, introduced stabilisation contributions and continued reforms from the recovery plan, which bring with them investments in the reconstruction and equipment of hospitals, as well as the construction of new hospitals; The Prime Minister, Eduard Heger, said.
