The Committee is a permanent coordinating, consultative and professional body of the Council of the Government of the Slovak Republic on mental health for issues relating to the cooperation of all entities providing any sub-services and education in the field of mental health and psychosocial support - from specialised services to awareness-raising activities across all layers of the system from primary to tertiary prevention. The Committee shall cooperate and coordinate its work with other Council committees and working groups.
The Committee shall perform its tasks according to its own plan of action and in accordance with the work plan of the Board of the Government of the Slovak Republic for Mental Health, which shall follow the Work Plan of the Government of the Slovak Republic and the Plan of Legislative Tasks of the Government of the Slovak Republic.
The Committee on Psychosocial Support for Mental Health was established under Appendix 1 to the Statute. The Board of Government of the Slovak Republic approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic by Resolution No 49/2024 of 1 February 2024 submitted to the Government of the Slovak Republic following Resolution No 24/2023 of 18 December 2023.

6/2025 On 10 June at 11:00 a third ordinary meeting of the Committee on Psychosocial Support for Mental Health of the Council of the Government of the Slovak Republic for Mental Health will take place. The meeting will take place online.
09/2024 "On 25 September at 9:00 a.m. will hold a second ordinary meeting of the Committee on Psychosocial Support in the field of mental health of the Council of the Government of the Slovak Republic for Mental Health. The meeting shall be open to the public and public participation shall be allowed until the capacity of the room is filled by registration at least 7 days prior to the meeting of the Board at the e-mail address of the Committee secretariat.
