Subactivity 1. 1
Promoting the stability of the health system and maintaining the availability of health services despite the impacts and long-term negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic
The department of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic has allowed all healthcare providers (subordinated organisations of MZ SR, public bodies as well as private law bodies) to reward first line health workers and/or in the red zone involved in providing health care in the framework of economic mobilisation. With regard to material No UV-23300/2020, which was discussed by the Slovak Government on 28 October 2020 and approved for private entities by Resolution No 690/2020, the procedure for the remuneration of health workers in the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic for the period of their occupation from 1 April 2020 to 31 July 2020, creating the conditions for a transparent, efficient and motivating method of remuneration for individual groups of workers, whose ambition is to fairly reward healthcare workers for their particular deployment in the context of a crisis or emergency situation, which also creates the preconditions for the support of health workers in the next wave of the WHOID-19 pandemic. In the case of subordinate organisations of MZ SR and public entities, support was made for the compensation of capacities providing medical services in the first line and/or in the red zone within the available resources of the state budget of the chapter of MZ SR.
Subactivity 1. 2
Support for the provision of specialised public services as an enabling apparatus to ensure the availability of health services in the areas of provision of security services and support activities in crisis situations, maintenance of public order, efficient crisis management and risk reduction measures, including the identification of procedures and actions to address the consequences of emergencies.
Another part of the support is the provision of funding in addition to standard performances and exceptional field deployment by members of the Slovak Fire and Rescue Corps (HAZZ) and officers of the Slovak Police Corps (hereinafter referred to as "PR") within the Department of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic in the implementation of support measures to the health system in the Slovak Republic in connection with measures to eliminate the pandemic of COVID-19 disease, both in relation to performance under the ordered overtime fund and in the framework of the motivational compensation of employees.
