Central procurement of medical equipment
MZ SR launches Central Procurement process in 2022:
- magnetic resonance imaging (MR), where the guarantor is Patejdl Róbert, Mgr., PhD.
- ultrasonographic devices (USG), where the guarantor is MUDr. David Kocan.
- Medicinal products using a dynamic purchasing system where the guarantor is MSc. Andrej Kluka. Primary endpoint This central procurement is to unify the competitive environment for all hospitals in the collection of MZ SR (state) and thus to shorten and simplify the procurement of medicines by process for all parties involved. Secondary objective is to achieve a reduction in the prices of medicinal products by larger volumes, open competition and a clear purchase process for molecules that are not yet purchased centrally by health insurance companies. Initial meetings with the market and hospitals were currently concluded in the project. Below we publish draft entries of the competition catalogue in the first upcoming public procurement.

We also publish a database of medical equipment purchases. Categorisation lists for CT, X-ray, USG, beds and vital function monitors have been removed due to their outdatedness. We are happy to send them on request, but we do not want them to continue to influence public procurement and block new technologies by order of the Minister. The updated categorisation lists shall be returned with the new central purchasing procedure.Database-ZT.xlsx
